The Hermanus Fynarts Festival is underway in and around Hermanus in the Western Cape. Installations along the cliff top at Gearing’s Point are a favourite attraction and I show some of this work in the images below.
The Hermanus Fynarts Festival is in full swing and the events thus far have been outstanding. We have attended a number of concerts as well as the world premier of the Jans Rautenbach film, ‘Abraham’, and have been completely wowed!
The ‘Last Night of the Proms’ concert in the school hall on Sunday evening was a real winner and not even a power cut in the middle of the show could put a dampener on the performance or enjoyment of the spectacle. Richard Cock conducted the proceedings in his inimitable manner and had the audience performing along with the massed choirs and wonderful orchestra. Those who did not attend missed something special!
